IMPORTANT INFO

What you need to know prior to booking your Microblading treatment.

Medical History

Not everyone is a good candidate for permanent cosmetics. I will need to know your medical history and any medications and health complications prior to the treatment going ahead to help determine if you are suitable. If you are unsure please get in touch to find out.

Pregnant or Breastfeeding

Under no circumstance should you have any permanent makeup treatments carried out if you are pregnant. You should only receive treatment once you have stopped breastfeeding.

Pre-Treatment Advice

Please avoid the following prior to your treatment; alcohol consumption (24 hours prior), Aspirin, Ibuprofen (or any blood thinning medication for 72 hours prior) and coffee/ caffeine drinks (12-24 hours).

Exercising Post Treatment

You must refrain from any form of exercise for 2 weeks after your treatment. The reason for this is due to sweat containing salt which will actually remove the pigment.

Avoid Water, Pools and Sun

No swimming in chlorinated pools, no submerging your head under water or under direct shower spray for 2 weeks during the healing process. If you ignore these instructions you will risk your permanent makeup fading, causing poor retention and also increases the risk of infection. You are best to keep your eyebrow area dry unless you are cleansing with cool boiled water as per your aftercare instructions.

Infection Risks

Your newly treated brows should be handled with extreme care and treated how you would take care of a wound. As with any wound, there is a risk of infection if bacteria gets into the area so you must try to avoid touching with bare hands. If you do touch you must make sure hands are washed beforehand. You strictly must NOT apply any eyebrow makeup for at least 2 weeks; makeup harbors lots of bacteria which if you apply you run the risk of introducing the bacteria into your brows. Try to keep your hair off your eyebrows whilst they heal and make sure pillowcases are cleaned when sleeping on them.

Botox & Other Treatments

Botox should be carried out at least 3 weeks before your Microblading appointment and at least 3 weeks after your treatment. Chemical Laser Peels should be at least 30 days prior. No anti-aging Retin A products at least 30 days prior. Tweezing, waxing, threading, tinting should be done at least 7 days prior and at least 2 weeks after treatment.

Refresh + Touch Up Appointments

To get the most out of your Microblading or Ombre' Powder Brows,  it is essential you make your touch up appointment. This must be made 6-12 weeks after your initial session. Anything outside of this will be classed as a new treatment. If you skip this appointment, you have not completed your treatment and results will reflect this.

Aftercare

It is crucial you follow the aftercare you will be given after your first appointment and the info on this page. Failure to do so may result in faded brows, poor retention and you also run the risk of infection.
